About

The purpose of this organization is to provide ETSU students with a chance to participate in a competitive, non‐varsity sport operating within an enjoyable atmosphere, with a focus on leadership, teamwork, and developing player skills. The ETSU Men's Lacrosse Club will demonstrate leadership within the community, teamwork within the sport, commitment within studies, determination within each valuable player, and overall achievement to the best of each members ability.

Club FAQS:

  • How often do we practice – Twice per week. Days and times are yet to be determined for the fall. Fall practices will be held at the CPA Side Yard (the field with the goal posts). Practices will begin the week of September 10th.

  • How many games do we play – We usually try to schedule 8 games per season in the spring from mid-February until the end of the semester

  • Who do we compete against – We have scheduled games in the past with Emory Univ, West Virginia, Marshall, MTSU, UT Chattanooga, UNC- Greensboro, Dalton State, Ohio University, and others

  • Will we have to travel – Yes. We will have away games and some which may require an overnight stay.

  • How much are dues – Anticipate a minimum of $150, but could be higher depending on the game schedule, need for overnight accommodations, and how much fundraising we do. We will always try to keep the costs down to a minimum for players.

  • Do I have to be a full-time student – No. Part-time students are eligible to play too.

  • Do I have to have experience – No. We have a mix of players from newbies to experienced players.

  • Do I have to have equipment – Although it is best if you do, we understand that not all players can afford it, so we do have some loaner equipment available, but it is on a first come-first served basis.

  • Is the club just about playing lacrosse – No. Although we are a sport club, we encourage the players to be philanthropic, get involved, and be social. We want club members to be a family of sorts.

  • Will I have to attend meetings – Yes. We will hold meetings throughout the year and players are expected to attend as many as possible.
